.585 Nyati Trajectory ??
I have my Talley rings now fitted to my .585 and on the weekend I did some sighting in. It started to rain so I headed for lunch. Any way my last shot was exactly 4.5" above my aiming point at 80 yards. So my question is if my bullets are striking 4.5" high at 75 yards were will it be zero at and were would it be at 100 yards. As is is it shooting to high for general shooting out to 150-200 yards ??
Bullet is a 650 gr woodleigh BP BC is .320 and speed is 2400 fps.
Can any one out there give me an estimate ??

steve505PC,
Wow, with that recoil, i do not think i could even hit the target at 100yds! Anyhow, zero is 250yds., 5.3" rise at 100yds assuming iron sights.
Thanks Steve !!
i think it's a tad high so I will wind down 8 increments (2.5x leupold scope)then it should be about 2.5" high at 75 yards and 3" or so high at 100 yards working on your figures. It aint that bad with a break 2 mercure reducers and 14 odd pounds of weight. I also had a foam gun bag tucked in between the rifle any my shoulder
after a few shots though you still need some panadol
