I just bought some of the 400 gr. Barnes solids (flat nose) and they are long. Can these be used in the Rem Mag? I'm wondering if there is room for enough powder behind them. Maybe they are suitable for the Rigby and Weatherby only?

I've used them in 416 Remington. Load over about 78-82 grains Reloader 15 for 2400 fps.

Yes the case has a long neck, so all is well on that part of the equasion..

I do have a concern about solids that long however, as Im suspect they have a tendency to tip over to one degree or another..I have not used them and it takes a lot of kills to come up with a righteous statement about a bullet of any kind, therefore I say suspect only...
