A-Square ??
Wasn't sure where to post this.
A friend of mine gave me 2 boxes of A-Square 416 Rem mag in 400 grain. The box says "Dead Tough"....I have no knowledge of this bullet. Is it a good load? Will it hold together? Thanks for your feed back... Maddog

MD:

The A-square dead tough is/was their heavy jacketed soft point for heavy game like buffalo where controlled expansion is desired. It is my understanding that the A-square bullets worked as advertised. They would probably make a good grizzly/brown bear load.

here's the run down

monolithic solid by Asquare-very good solid

dead tough by Asquare-controlled expansion for heavy game

lion load by Asquare-fast expanding and fragmenting bullet for light skinned game where massive internal damage with limited penetration is needed..
