M70 for 500 Jeffery?
How difficult would it be to rework a M70 classic into a 500 Jeffery?

Thanks,
Axel

The 500 Jefferys, being shorter than the 505 Gibbs could possibly be converted at a very high cost in a Mod. 70 but I would not even consider such a conversion...some of the cost might be a new magazine box, extensive rail work, perhaps a custom made bolt, opening up lenthwise and on and on..the bottom line is ANYTHING can be done if money is no objection...

I would simply use a CZ, Enfield, or one of the new, but very expensive Mauser Mod. 20 type actions being made by several companies....add the M-70 features that you like to the gun.

Last year Westley Richards had a beautiful Model 70 in 500 jeffery for $4995. It held 2 down in a single stack mag plus one in the chamber.
