I will not say anything bad about Lon - he's a super nice guy and a great gunsmith.

(Off the record...) BUT he built a gun for me (from his supplied action up) in a DG caliber and it never quite fed right. It was rough, scored the cases deeply and just never fed as smoothly as I felt like a several-thousand-dollar custom bolt gun should. It was on a 602.

On the other hand, he "slicked up" a Pre-64 that fed wonderfully.

So from my experience, he's batting .500.

Send Ray Atkinson a PM - he reccomended someone for me in an earlier post that he seemed to have a lot of confidence in.

Re Lon Paul,Lon has done over a total of 8 BRNO's for me.Cals ranged from 243 up to 458 Lott.I have hunted Africa with all of them.His work has always been of the highest quality.I highly recomend him.
