404WJJefferyI LOVE......TWINS!
Just took delivery of my twins:
Montana Rifle actions - Moly Chrome 1999 action and barrel in a .458 Lott and .404 Jeffery, with 22 inch barrels.
Best of all, with Accurate Innovations stocks- great product. With it's bedding system, I can break the rifles down and they return to zero no problem. Tested it 4 times on the 404 and always back to zero. Great Product.
Chuck Hawk says: can truthfully say that the Accurate Innovations Golden Accuracy replacement rifle stock is the best drop-in rifle stock I have ever encountered. Anyone who is considering a custom rifle or is dissatisfied with a factory stock should investigate the Accurate Innovations line. Certainly anyone whose hunting rifle came with an injection molded synthetic stock should take a close look at the Golden Sporter laminated stock, which is far more attractive, every bit as weather resistant, stiffer, and much stronger. 404WJJefferyGuys
Notice no crossbolts on the big calibers. Both Accurate Innovations and Montana Rifleman assured us they were not necessary as the aluminum bed goes the full length of the stock.
Very nice piece of wood with fishnet checkering, ebony end piece and end cap, which doesn't show up in the photo.
I visited Accurate Innovations in Rapid City and they have some really nice laminates, and the full range of wood grades.
I understand, and I may be wrong, but Montana is using them for their custom builds, and they are talking to Remington's custom shop.
I am going to send my nice 404J Custom with an FN action and all the bells and whistles to them for a restock- the wood on it now is very nice, but has a gloss finish, is not bedded, and is too nice to dink up on a hunt, and I will turn this rifle into a take-down too for easy travel.
