Wondered if anyone has seen or shot one of these? They show a $6900 price for a new .470 double on their website, which is a bunch less even than a Searcy double.

So this is in a way a Chapuis for less money? Cheaper because they don't have a well known name? Sounds kind of interesting.

'The Holland Bros.'? Who would they be and why would they be proud?

There is no such thing as a "cheap&good quality" double rifle! There is a reason why those 100 year old Jerrey's still command $15K prices. -Rob

the one in the photo looks all chapuis to me, i.e.: Stock contours, etc... I can't imagine how he can stock a barreled action cheaper than they can at the factory, but who knows.

As for the price, his web prices should be double checked... that looks like what you could buy one for two-years ago... when the Euro was at .85:1.00 not today at 1.30:1.00. Maybe he hasn't updated his web page in over two-years?

In Europe a chapuis rifle starts at $3500. According to the Evolution USA website pricing I would not say that you get a cheaper rifle through this firm.

As Robgunbuiler mensioned, you usualy get what you pay for. Regarding double rifles this is indeed true and the kings of double rifle making lived in England 100 years ago. Simply an outstanding quality that costs. Today, I believe that the number of hours of skilled work that is needed to build such a rifle would make the product a lot more expensive still if we dont add any "brand cost" compared to the cost of an old original.
