Bill/Oregon.72 double rifle ...
Did somebody here fool with one of the Pedersoli/Cabela's Kodiak muzzleloading double rifles in the .72 caliber? How's she shoot? What velocities are you getting? Any other thoughts? Had one in .58 -- authoritative with 130 grns FFg and a 570-grain conical. Want to try a bigger one. Been readin' too many of Karl's threads I guess ...

Brian MBill,
I have a friend that is trying to sell his Pedersoli 72 caliber double. It's like new and comes with a bunch of 850 grain cast conicals. He's asking $600 for it.If you're interested, shoot me an e-mail and I'll put you in touch with him.
PS-The ONLY reason he is selling it is because he just built a Rolling Block 50/90 and needs the money.

POSEURA friend of mine has one. He loads it with 175 grains of ffg but I cannot remember what the bullet weight is. I will try an find out that and what velocities he is getting.
What kind of velocities are you getting with the 58 caliber and the load you posted?

<Harald>I'd be very interested in knowing what kind of velocity and accuracy you can get with an 850 gr conical bullet. That is the kind of load I had in mind but I am concerned about the twist rate.
