In Page 422 Of Jon Speed's book, "Original Oberndorf Sporting Rifles", show a Westley Richards Double Square Bridge Magnum Mauser in 404 Jeffrey, made in 1938 (SN BUGN 113405), that has been restocked.

But I also agree that the price is way over the top. Maybe that's why it's been listed for over 6 months.

The rifle seems to be reconditioned. I wonder it's a true 404 from start or a re-barreling? I know it's not completely uncommon...



I have seen a 404 by Vickers built on magnum action, never a W&R.



The price is not realistic to say the least.
