ElCaballero458 WM Whitworth on Gunbroker
For all you Whitworth fans here is another one. I think a person could sure make the stock look a little more bright eyed.

Lhook7Damn!! I'm trying to limit myself to one gun a year, and I've already bought two and it's only February. I'd love to have this rifle, but I'm going to have to give it a pass.

Frank MartinezLike you can't believe. I am in the same sinking raft.

That does look like a good rifle. Plain stock but other wise very clean looking.

Cowboy, the last thing you want on a 458 Win Mag rifle is a bright eyed stock! That stock could have more figure in it, but the finish is perfect on a DGR. The rifle is well worth the $800 buy now price! I'd love to buy that rifle myself, but like some have already said I've bought more than my quota this year!.........Still, I need to take a trip down the Grand Isle, LA anyway, SOOOOOO.........

Charles_HelmWeird. When I bought mine no one bid but me! I guess it is better when the auction starts low than when it starts high, even if they end up the same place...

Frank MartinezCharles, I fear the word is out on how great a value this rifle is.

Just teasing. I think you got a really nice rifle there. I hardly looks used and the stock is much better than some I have seen lately.

Mike SmithWill, Thanks you saved me on this one. I was really about to buy it. Thing is I already own one. I paid $1100.00 for mine. I would like to find a 375 true whitworth express like this for a good price as well. The difference in my 458 and yours is mine had a good pillar bedding job done on it by a reputable gunsmith and it came with a leupold scope that had been modified by premier reticles to the 4a. So it was definitely worth the extra $300.00 I paid. That said you got a great deal on this rifle. To anyone who dosnt know, the fit and finish on the original Whitworths is so much better than the later Mark X's and Alaskans there is no comparison. Mine will also shoot 1/2 inch groups off the bench at 100 yards. Now if I could just shoot that well offhand..

Lhook7Thank you Will!!
I am a weak person and got online this morning to take "just take one more look." That is code for coming up with a justification to buy the rifle.
