I need a taller front sight for ERA ramp.
Math works out to .364 in the middle of rear sight height adjustment, and the 3/32 beads don't go that high.
They have a 9mm fiber optic Tru Glo pipe that would work.
Anybody try them?
Broke one on a clays gun, but it was long and skinny.
This one is 3/32 dia. so might? be sturdier.
It's either that or the partridge.

I Run their Universal Screw on Ramp on 3 of my Big Bore Guns and have replaced the 3/32 Red Fiber Optic with Green for me the color really sticks out they have been abused but still there I bring an extra green rod with me just in case it need to be replaced.

They melt when some gun cleaning solvents get on them accidentally.
That will take the glow right off of them.
Pretty delicate with physical trauma as well.
I lost interest in them due to those two reasons.
I would prefer a patridge if that would do.

I ran a small bead of superglue the length of the fiber optic and the base on both sides. If you're careful it does not harm the optic and considerably strengthens the sight.

I had one on a .375. Loved it. It broke. Replaced it with a brass dot. Couldn't see having the success of an expensive hunting trip riding on something as minor as a fragile red dot.

Fiber optic front sights are the 'new hotness' among the Fuddley McGoos. They seem to think it's like a 'tactical upgrade' on a DGR.

I will stay with a NECG post partridge with a gold face on most of my DG guns combined with a V rear sight and sighted to take a full post in the V, such as one would take on a Smith and Wesson pistol. that front sight is excellent for a Receiver sight..I get the .500 high so I can file them to zero..

Other than that a shallow V and a 3/32 gold or Ivory bead...

No gimmicks for me, Fiber optics break, melt, fall out on rare occasions, but it just takes one rare occasion to turn me off..

Wouldn't the rear sight need to be a square notch to work with the partridge? I can't find a picture of Smith and Wesson rear sight with a V.

NO the partridge works fine with a V much like peep sight that has a round bottom, you only see the top! What you suggest does make one tend to wonder, but worry not, its an old Texas Ranger iron sight method and those ole boys could shoot..My granddad was a Texas ranger and I have his two rifles with such a sight picture on them both..super accurate and super fast,no need to concentrate on pulling a bead down into a notch..a method that slow and inaccurate as hell, and the POI changes with the time of day and the sunlight..
