Big Horn Armory
Anybody know anything about Big Horn Armory? They are making lever guns in 500S&W

They will be making them soon. Great folks to talk to.

It would certainly be an interesting rifle, but I believe I would wait to see if they start to come apart before commiting to buy one. That's a fairly high pressure round!

I looked into this several years back and hoped to build one on a Browning 71. The pressure of the 500 SW was too high for enven the 71.
I understand that Great West was also playing with highly modified levers but I have yet to see any offered.
Perhaps the Browning BLR could handle it.
It would certainly be interesting to load and shoot.

A BLR should handle it no sweat pressure wise, that's a great idea! Recoil would be interesting. My friend has a Ruger revolver in 500 S&W and it kicks a lot less than his 454 Casull Alaskan snubbie revolver.

Big Horn says they are building these from the "ground Up", with respect to the '86, and '92 Winchesters. I would like to see one up close, before shelling out $1800 for one. I have shot a 500S&W in their revolver, and I have no desire to own one. But a rifle would be a different matter.
