Even though it's not big bore the .350 Rigby Rimmed is classic as well.

Would the 577 Rewa also be included?
Not sure of its age but I think some old maharaja asked H&H to make it by necking down 600NE to 577.

Although the age of the 577 rewa certainly qualifies it, the production numbers were so small that it would probably not be considered traditional; rather like a wildcat.

Mickey, how come the .700 qualifies? Hardly "classic" in the 'classic' sense! [Big Grin]

Nice line-up, though, but the .500/.450 3 1/4 Magnum NE is conspicuous by its absence!

...and haven't we forgotten the 12-bore, 10-bore, 8-bore and 4-bore? The ORIGINAL 'classic' flanged cartridges! [Wink]

Because the classic British Big Bore rifles were designed for flanged cartridges. [Wink] Like the shotguns they were designed from.

Seriously, it is the simplest design.

4 Bore, 8 Bore, 10 Bore Paradox, 12 Bore Paradox, 20 Bore Faunetta

I think I figured out who you are. I think that we met many years ago in Darwin and have many mutual friends in the BGRC and met.

Ah, that's better! Thanks for the piccie, Mickey! Second from the right is a personal favourite, wish we could still buy Leslie Taylor's hollow capped projectile in boxes of a hundred from the local gunshop!

I have many friends in the BGRC, but you'll have to give me a hint! Try this site:

..and see if the ugly mug is familiar!

Mickey1,
Nice line up. But what about the 450-400 in 3" and 3 1/4" [Frown] Now if you just had rifles to shoot all those calibers [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

There is a 450-400 3". I'll dig around and find the other one.

I do have a rifle for every cartridge.
Well almost everyone.
Some of them. [Wink]
