Sako A5 International 375
I have a chance to buy a used Sako Intrenational A5 in a 375. I would like to hear your thoughts and get some data about the rifle.

The gun in question comes with a 1.5x6 Scopecheif and the price is 1100 cad what do you think?

Is this rifle out of production? All I can find on the Sako site is info on the 75

TIA

The AV was replaced in 1991 by the L691, which was replaced in 1997 by the 75 series. I have owned numerous .375 full stock "mannlicher" carbines, but I'm not sure what you mean by the "International" model.

It's probably just the dealer. He see's the Ruger Mannlicher stocked rifles called Internationals, (isn't that what the RSI means?) and presto, every Mannlicher stocked rifle is now an International. - Dan

The Sako AV Mannlicher in .375 is a quality rifle. The shorter barrel gives up little velocity and they are well balanced. The only flaw is the hard rubber recoil pad, which can be brutal when firing 300gr loads from the bench.
