http://www.mstarling.com Beautiful! Do you have an ETA? Will they go back to Tip or straight to you? These will need serious scrutiny at the range. Even some of the DR purists might give these a look or two. Bob

After the fiasco with trying to get these done with the other guy, it is a blessing to have good people like Tip and Roger working on these rifles! I'm just grinning from ear to ear!

ForrestBRusty, that is one seriously classy action. After all you've been through wiith this project, I'd say it's really coming together for you now. I've never seen a nicer MRC action - hell, that's that's great work no matter what the action.
What are your plans for the rear sights and scope?

Now a nice Turkish Walnut, classic design with an ebony tip, (like jeffeosso's 470 AR) would be superb.

RustyJorge,
I am having two rifles chambered in 404 Jeffery made. The actions are Montana Rilfe Co. Long Actions in Chrome Moly. One is left hand the other right.
The barrels are Lothar-Walther .423 Magnum Sporter contours. The sights are NECC Island base rear and H&H type flip up banded front sight. They will also have barrel band for slings.
Tip will give the metal a matt black finish.
I started these projects to have a companion bolt rifle for my 450/400 3 inch double.
After a two year derailment the projects are coming together.

jorgeThanks, Rusty. BTW, why the right/left hand models and does the 404 require a long action? jorge
