OverkillJust some questions
I have been thinking on some things so I have some questions!
1. What does hornebear brass to the .600 OK-3 cost (?)
2. How many cartridges does the .600 OK-3 rifle take (?)
3. Does the 30-378Wby really burn out barrels at 250 shoots (?)
Thanks! //Overkill

RobgunbuilderHiorneber is only making OK-1 brass right now. It will cost 2.98/case U.S. Depending on the action, 3 to 4 rounds and the 30-378 will probably go 500-800 rds before accuracy is seriously effected by bore errosion. I had one I know! There was very measurable throat errosion after 300 rds and I observed a serious loss of accuracyu after 500 rds in mine. Wby was contacted and gave me the run around. I shipped the gun back to them twice and demanded a new barrel. They refused. I sold the gun at a bargain price at a gun show a week later. While I own two wby's a .257 and a .460, it's unlikely that I'll ever buy another or build a gun in 30-378. I've repeated this story before, but some people just won't listen and have to learn the hard way. The 300 Ultramag is only a 150 fps behind the 30-378 and mine shows only minimal throat erosion after 750 rds and two trips to Africa. It still shoots CONSISTENTLY < 1 MOA. I'd like to see a WBY with that many rounds through it do the same.-Rob
