What's a pre-64 (50's) 375 H&H worth
There's a guy on a site advertising a pre 64 M70 in 375 H&H for $2,000. The metal looks to be in good shape, the receiver looks matte while the rest of the gun is gloss. The stock has some scratches, like it's been well used and it has a 1/2" solid red rubber recoil pad on it. It has a scope mounted on it.

Woodrow SIf it is the standard model the price is about right, whereas if it is a Supergrade model grab it QUICK. The SG models are right around 4 grand in decent condition.

Bo RichThe rifle pictured is the Standard grade. If this gun is original it was most likely sold. The price of $2,000.00 for a Standard grade .375 H&H Magnum is very, very low if in fact it is original. The rifle should have a 25" barrel, solid red recoil pad. bolt number matches receiver S/N. Watch for cracks behind tang. At $2,000.00 even if thier are some minor things wrong it is still a good deal.

congomikeIt might just be the light, but I don't think the rear sight is original. For one thing, the blades seem incorrectly shaped, the base is too long and appears to cover part of the word "Magnum", which it shouldn't. Again, might be the light, but I don't think so.
I'm not expert, but that seems to be a late model stock with an early model sight. Maybe there was some overlap, but I'd not be suprised if that gun isn't original.
But, even at that, if it's original parts, the sum of those parts is worth more than $2000

Jim KobeIMHO the stock looks correct for a standard grade but it appears it has been cut and the pad reattached.
