TwoZeroI've seen this over and over again with publicly traded companies...
Even though something may be profitable, that does not necessarily mean that it is profitable enough for the bean counters.
Very often regardless of the fact that they are making money; unless the margin hit some magical % assigned by the beancounters, it is often binned as not being worth the effort.

Oh so true...most companies start out with innovative ideas and products...and make a fair margin. Then enter the Bean Counters...they have to make more money to pay for themselves, a assistant to help them with the numbers and a secretary for both of them. If we did not have so damn many tax laws and loopholes are financial system would be running smooth.
