RIPThe grain flow in your grip is not the best, I would put a steel rod in the grip:

eagle27Yes a shame CZ doesn't put a bit more effort into the wood they use in their stocks and I don't think I would be carrying the rifle too far and too often on the sling with that barrel hanger, talk about skimping on metal.
Hope it all works out and the rifle gives good service.

viperidaeCongratulations, there is just something cool about shooting a cartridge the looks like a ICMB!
Check the bedding. The factory bedding on mine wasn't great and needed to be redone.

An extra long drill bit, some all thread, and JB Weld or bedding material works well. Easy to do and really nice to know that even if it breaks it won't let loose into the side of your face.

chuck375Congrats! Very cool rifle. I have the CZ Classic in 500 Jeffery and love it. 570g of lead/copper at 2300 fps will get your attention and put a smile on your face.

Dan416Cool. Now the fun starts. I'm on the way to the range today to chrono some 525 TSX's with RL 15 and RL 19.

meteThere was on the forum ,a discussion about early CZ stocks , and the conclusion was on rifles of 375 H&H or more recoil, two crossbolts and glass bedding should be used.
The broken stock should never have been used . If reinforcement is needed should it be a steel rod or wood , and what diameter ?

gunslinger55Ian, can you tell me about the front sight? My 1st Gen 505 is back at triple river getting the "new" style sights because the old ones were very limited and had the spacer on the leaves. Is it a removable front sight? Fiber optic or bead? Size? Hard to get info out of Harlan at TRG. It is free though.
Thanks!
