<JAX>1917 Enfield rechambered to 577 T-Rex
I have a model 1917 Enfield rifle with a standard size action in 300 Win Mag and want to get it rechambered, rebarreled to 577 Tyrannoasaur.Where could I send my rifle to have this done?Of coarse I have thought of buying a new rifle but I thought this would be the cheaper route.Any info would really be appreciated because I am a moron.

dan belisleJax, most of your questions were answered over on the Gunsmiths' forum. To shorten; yes it can be done, it will be very expensive, and I'm not sure about the 'smith who would (notice would, not could) do it. FWIW - Dan

500grainsIt will be more expensive to build one from scratch than to buy a used A-Square rifle. They go for about $3K now and then.
But the real problem is that no one makes brass for this cartridge.

<Mitch>Dieter Horneber located in Furth Germany makes brass for the T.Rex. It will take you a while to receive it since Dieter is a one man operation.

dan belisleI thought Quality cartridge was going to start making this brass? Along with the rest of the A-square line. - Dan
I pinged Quality Cart. about the A-Square cases about a month ago. The reply stated they were still waiting for the basic brass.
I have a feeling A-Square will be back in business first. One positive sign of this was that a recent note on the MidwayUSA website stated that they will soon be carrying A-Square components.
