ldmay375416 Ruger & Barnes Manual #5
This morning, I called and asked Barnes if 416 Ruger load data would be included in their Reloading Manual #5. I was not sure which department to speak with. So, went with choice 1, load development.
Of course, I did not receive a definitive Yes. But, did receive, it was on the list to be shot and believed it would be included in the new manual. As we know, those decisions are made by other pay grades.
If you are a shooter of the 416 Ruger and their bullets, you might want to give them a call or email to support including the 416 Ruger in the new manual.
To their credit, several years ago, Tye put me in touch with someone that had done pretty extensive development with the 416 Ruger and their bullets.
I am still using a load from that contact with the 350 TSX and IMR 4320.
No secret, but I think the 416 Ruger offers a lot of performance in a near 338 Win size rifle. Relatively easy to shoot and carry, and the 350 TSX seems a near perfect match. Though the TTSX version may be better yet.

Cold Trigger FingerGood post. It would be nice if the world would stop insisting on yard long barrel velocities and bullet companies would at least list velocities for both long and short barrel lengths.
