EXPRESSbed & free float for .375
I would like to have a Sako .375 floated and bedded for range use and developing loads that would use in a double as well, but I figure I sould doo the trial and error stuff in the bolt gun to get a better idea of what the load can do on paper.
Just how accurate can you get a .375H&H to shoot?
I have used mine out to 300meters and found it to be more than surprisingly accurate.

Kentucky NimrodDeveloping loads in a bolt action for use in a Double Rifle is a waste of time. A double rifle needs loads that shoot to the regulated POA of the gun for both barrels and that normally has nothing to do with what groups well, has the highest velocity etc.

<Don G>I agree with KR, you won't learn much of interest for doubles shooting a bolt gun.
The 375 is as accurate as any other hunting cartridge. In the right rifle it should be easy to get into the .3s for a three shot average.
I personally stop load development in a huntiung rifle if I can get into the .5s.
