manavits a great caliber, which hopefully will get the popularity it deserves. historically its over long barrel length was one of the main reasons in its lack in popularity. but the 410 grain bullet will flatten anything it hits!thats for sure!

Mike375It has an extremely rebated case and the bore diameter is real odd so bullets and barrels are very thin on the ground.
In short the weight of resistance greatly exceeds the weight of desire

The rim is so rebated as to cause misfeeds. Not good on a DGR! In addition, the neck is about twice as long as it needs to be, space better suited to holding powder (shoulder needs to be move forward.) Overall, NOT a particularly well-designed case compared with a good one like the .416 Rigby!!
