<Indiana Tone>Ruger and the 458 Lott, question for all
I been reading some rumors that Ruger is going to chamber the Lott, does anyone know which rifle it will be in? 77 or No1?

Nobade#1 for sure, not sure about the M77. Seems to me they're going to do the stainless/laminate one?

CraftsmanThe wholesale gun distributors are listing the Ruger 77 RSM in 458 Lott this year but I have not seen it listed for the Number 1 yet.

<Indiana Tone>Thanks for the replys, I was hoping they would offer it in the plain old blue No1H but I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

AtkinsonIndiana Tone,
You can almost make a lott out of a standard 458 Ruger N0. 1 with your fingernail..just move about 30 thousands of metal.

I'll second Ray's idea. I had my 458 WM made into a Lott for about $70.00. VERY simple job.

<Indiana Tone>Well i was thinking about doing just that with the 458Win,the only trouble in my area of the country is finding a gunsmith that isn't a slacked jaw goober who can do a competent job. TJC who did yours and are you satisfied with the results?
I had a place called Catfish Guns do my rechamber. I heard that they recently went out of business. Any decent gunsmith should be able to do this for you, it is very simple. Try the gunsmith forum for some names. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
