huskyRegulating a new barrel set in .450 3/4" N.E...
Hi,
I am planning to let my gunsmith make a new barrel set for my Jansen Sons & Co double in .333 Jeffery Flanged. As the .333 Flanged is a necked down (and shortened) version of the .450 3/14" N. E, the logical choise would be to make the new barrel set in this calibre. The rifle would be quite handy and have a low wight for the calibre.
As I am quite fond of using heavy for the calibre bullets in order to get as much Momentum as possible, I would like to ask about your opinion;
Shall i regulate the barrel set with Woodleighs 550gr bullets or stay with the standard 480gr or 500gr bullet weights. Would the rifle shoot all three bullet weights with reasonable accuracy (4-6" groups) up to 100 paces?
