Re: A-Square opinions
Jason, I bought a used A-square rifle and took it to them to have reworked and turned into a 500 A-square. I talked to Art and he said it was an older model and they would up grade it to thier new style. I saw new guns at the shop and they looked alot better then mine, so when they are done I will be able to compare old to new. I also have a friend who has built a 500 jefferies and one who is building a 500 A-square himself, so we will see which gun kicks less. I hope to pick my gun up soon, I will call this week to check on it. The new guns are not on the same level as a Holland and Holland, but your not paying that price either. The gun is large, its not a red rider, but they do take your measurements when you order one so to fit you to the gun. Don't buy a used one that has had other work done to it by some other gunsmith becouse they will not work on it. If you want more info contact me. nutshot

Nutshot,
Thanks, I am going to call MPI (the maker of the fiberglass stocks) to see if they can fit one to my Winchester 70. I was still managing a gun shop when A-Square came back on the scene a couple years ago, before the move to Indiana. I talked to them at the time about fitting their stocks to other rifles. They said they could do it to some rifles but not others due to the depth of the stock. We bought some ammunition from A-Square and were happy with it.
