I tend to stick with the first maximum or near-maximum load combination that gives me sub-MOA accuracy with 'typical' velocity with the bullet I've chosen for that particular cartridge/gun/purpose.

Lest you think I'm hidebound, I will occasionally try a new bullet or powder, but only rarely change my mind.

I, too, am guilty of having plenty of ammunition sitting around waiting to be shot, except for whatever it is I am going to shoot that coming weekend.

What is with that anyway? I have tons of shotshells loaded, but last fall I was stuufing bismuth into cases every Friday night.....

I load .375H&H ammo from time to time although I have no safaris planned for the near future.
