9.3X62 Custom rifle by Emil Kerner
I am looking at a 9.3X62 custom mauser rifle built by Emil Kerner. Does anyone know about these rifles built by him. I am told he was a pre war German manufacturer. Also what would be the magazine capacity on the standard mauser action?
Thanks,
Terry

I can't help you with the maker but I can tell you that I can get 4 rounds in the magazine of my Husqvarna.

Thanks Sarge , maybe our European friends have heard of this rifle maker. I'm sure there have been quite a few gunsmiths in Germany through the years though.

Terry;
There were many small gunbuilders in pre war (both WW I and WW II)Germany, Emil Kerner was one of them. Most of the 'custom' rifles made by these manufacturers were of rather high quality by today's standards. I saw a Mauser built by Emil Kerner for sale on some web site a few months ago. If I find it again, I'll let you know.

hello,
have to regret, that ive never heared of E.Kerner .
But if you are looking for a M98, look for systems build by DWM (1908 and 1909), Argentino or Wolf-Systems. Be sure to get a pre war build system. They run like butter ,and the material of which they have been build is better in the pre war times than later on!
If i mange to get some Informations over Kerner, ill get back to inform you.
cheers

The magazine capacity on a commercial mauser action build for 9,3x62 is five round. The magazinebox is heigher and also wider than for other cartridges
