Re: .375 Idea
Just read the .375 on a budget" post and I guess maybe just buying a CZ550 would be better.

On the other hand it is certainly do-able. If you like the look feel etc. of the Weatherby it is a possibility. I bought one that had the same thing done to it. Switched out a 300 barrel to 375 barrel. It is my son's GO TO gun. Make sure it is well bedded and you don't have anything loose first. Also try giving it a good cleaning with several overnight soakings of Wipe Out. I took their challenge when I first bought Wipe out. "Take your cleanest barrel in the safe, Fillit with Wipe out and leave it overnight. See what comes out." I was amazed. I was sure there was ZERO copper in that barrel and guess what several very blue patches came out.. You can't go wrong with a good CZ however. What wonderful decisions we get to have. Good hunting. I have a 300 Weatherby made in Germany. Shiny Weatherby stock with rosewood forend, skinny 24" barrel, etc., etc. doesn't shoot worth a darn (8" groups at 200 yards), and I have another rifle in the same caliber with which I hunt.

What would you think about rebarelling to .375 H&H? Maybe iron sights too. Keep the stock or get a dull synthetic one? Who would be good to do this work?
