Blem .405 Win brass sale - Received
Mid-South Shooter's Supply currently has blemished .405 Winchester brass (nickle) on sale for just over $45 per 100.

Got my nickled .405 Win brass from Midsouth yesterday.

Looked at the brass today. Not only could I not find any blems at all on it, but it is PRIMED brass. Maybe the ad said that, but if it did, I didn't catch it.

Anyway I am very pleased. Hope the rest of you who might have needed some got in on it too.

Maybe the 'Primed' is what they consider a blem if it wasn't supposed to be .
Check a few before you load up the whole batch.

When I buy anything sold as a blem, I always do some trials before deciding to rely on it. Will do the same, as you suggested, with this stuff.

It IS really nice looking brass though. Haven't found any flaws yet, in shape, dents, nickle plating, or anything else. Have not yet checked for rim thickness, neck wall uniformity, OAL, or base diameter.

Other than the OAL, probably won't check with calipers before loading and firing at least a half box or more (10 rounds or more). This stuff came in a plastic bag of 100; would have been nicer if it was boxed, but that's why God created MTM I suppose.

I'll just shoot some and if it performs well, that is all the check I will require. I like to load up no more than half of any components I buy, so I always have some fresh new stuff of a proved batch available if needed.

These cases have the interesting headstamp of "Roosevelt .405 Win." I wonder if that is Federal manufacture, or Winchester? I guess it could even be Hornady. It doesn't say on-line or on the package.

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.
