Dimensions for 375 & 416 Ruger cartridges?
If anyone has size specifications for either of these cartridges, I would be most grateful for a copy. Many thanks.

Maybe I am allowed to post this now that the cartridge has been actually released. Wink
"Sumbuddy who know" will have to do the .416 Ruger, which should be identical up to the neck, as the .375 Ruger:

For historic reference, here is the guesswork reamer of Dave Scovill, dated 10/06, made up by Dave Manson, before the official cartridge specs were released.
Notice the 28-degree "guess shoulder angle."
Hornady cartridge shoulder angle is 30 degrees, etc.:

I might be able to find the correct reamer drawing later.
Hope to see sumbuddy who know .416 Ruger post that one before I find it. thumb

Nobody knows the .416 Ruger yet eh?

Joe at
www.realguns.com
did his usual masterful job on his .416 Ruger project.

Pics and measurements here will be helpful, and some load data follows in part II linked to this "part one":

http://www.realguns.com/archives/172.htm

Joe's lineup above: L-R
30-06,
.375 H&H
.375 Ruger
.416 Ruger DGX
.416 Ruger DGS
.416 Rigby
.416 Weatherby
500 Jeffery

I forgot to look up the proper Dave Manson chamber reamer drawing for the .375 Ruger.
Will do.

Thanks older brother,

The final piece for my 9.3x64 rifle is the bottom metal. Sound bottom metal recommended their #5 box. That is for 375 and 416 Ruger rifles. I trust them, but wanted to measure webs and shoulders to compare. Many thanks.
