OK, WHO PURCHASED THE LAST BOX?
I saw the Woodleigh 600gr PP .510" bullets listed on the Midway website yesterday AM. They showed 1 box left (as they had for at least the last week). Then shortly after 5pm (CST) I phone in my order for the last box of Woodleigh BPE .585" 650gr bullets and the 600gr PP in .510". I got the .585" bullets however someone got the last box of 600gr PP in .510" sooooo.....

Fess up, who rudely ordered them out from under me

ps. The 600gr bullets are backordered until late July! I know I can get them elsewhere, but Midway had the best price.

You snooze, you lose!

P.S. No, it wasn't me, but I've had the very same thing happen to me because I wanted to check my inventory at home before jumping on some deals.

FYI,
Midway shipped me the 2 boxes of 600gr PP .510" bullets which was a little over 2.5 months earlier than they predicted.
ie. They're in stock, probably.

mrlexma,
I know that I responded to your other posting before it was so rudely hijacked, but you'll really like these bullets in your .510" gun - especially since they'll feed so well in your repeater. My 50BMD (460Wby cases cut to 2") likes heavy bullets so the heavier the better. I hurredly tested only 2 loadings with my .510/460 long before an AL whitetail hunt and got a suprising 1" group at 100yds with RL15 and Fed215 primers. I might even load some in my BMG for a high velocity hunting load, however it 'might' excede Woodleighs recomended velocity of 1800-2200fps

BMG--

I just received them yesterday. They are beautiful--as you say, with their "protected point" profile they should feed like a dream.

I noticed on the boxes that they bumped the range of recommended velocity to 1800-2250 fps. I'm planning to get about 2300-2400 at the muzzle, which I think should be okay. I'll be using RL-15, Fed. 215s and BeLL brass in .500 A2.

From the flat cut across the nose, the jacket on these bullets looks to be very thick. I can't wait to use them on buffalo.

Don't blame Woodleigh if your bullets come apart when they impact heavy bone!

What exactly is it you expect to gain by pushing these bullets at 2400 fps, that you aren't getting when you drive them at 2250 fps? I hope it isn't some kind of ego thing, that is a piss poor excuse for wounding an animal, IMHO.

mrlexma,

A visual aid.

Woodleigh 600 grain PSP. Bullet on left fired at 2260 fps, bullet on right fired at 2430 fps. Target, buffalo, ranges were roughly equal at approximate 35 yards.

The slower bullet (that is the one on the left) penetrated about 3 feet of neck shoulder and chest. The faster bullet (that is the bullet on the right) penetrated about 20" of shoulder and chest. The slower bullet killed quicker too. With expanding bullets, speed is NOT always your friend.

I see it didn't take Scott Sweet long to come up with a new phony membership. At least he's good at something.

Whoever thought of the "Ignore this user" feature, THANK YOU.

All I see now of this trolls post is:

Same here.

It's a damned shame, though, that serious discourse is cluttered up by this ASS CLOWN's posts. Even though he's on ignore, his moronic entries and active fantasy life take up waaaayyyyy too much space on this site.

mrlexma,

Please provide proof of my "fantasy life" and how my posts are "moronic". Seriously, please do, I grow tired of your false statements, or do you just have a PROBLEM with the truth?

I'll vouch for Mrlexma's statement that you post bullshit, Scott. And I think we can dig up about 50 other members who have exposed your stupidity, lies, stolen posts and photographs.

No need for anyone to waste their time researching and RE-proving the obvious everytime. This is your typical defense...post a lot of trash, then tell people to prove it's trash, then when they do, tell them they don't know what they are talking about. BORING.

You're a phony and an idiot and all your guns and "experience" come out of your computer and gun magazines. It's time for you to go pretend on some other website where people don't know you and your lies so well.

Pardon the entire world Pecos, but you LACK all credibility with all but a very few other nitwits (who undoubtedly will reply to this post to support Pecos the pathetic loser)

ASS CLOWN - I'm not worthy to be the gunbearer for most of the people on AR that YOU consider nitwits. Even so, I can still tell the difference between shinola and bullshit. And it doesn't take a hell of a lot of experience with firearms to know you talk out your ass 98% of the time

If you knew half as much about firearms as you pretend you do, the government would have you in the Pentagon designing weapons systems. But I'm afraid your REAL skills have limited you to sweeping out a car parts warehouse.
