<Per577>.700/577 Westley Richards
Hello !
Could someone tell me about this one (700/577)?
Could this cartridge fit to a bolt action, and would it have greater case volume than the .577 T-rex ?I do think so since the .700 Nitro is enourmous. And if Ulriks rifle will do 2700fps with a 750 grain bullet(.577 T-rex),then a greater case like this one (.700/577)Would be able to push a 750 grain bullet to the same velocity or even more,,like 2800 +fps?
I hope someone know more about this cartridge(.700/577 Westley Richards)than myself and are willing to share their 'view'?!

500grainsI have never heard of a 700/577 WR being built, although WR lists it on their website. If you wanted it in a bolt gun, it would need to be on a 50 BMG receiver, and I suspect gun weight would need to be in the 16+ pound range.

mehulkamdarWestley Richards no longer list this round on their website. If I remember right, I read somewhere that the ammunition for this, the .500 Hakim and some other oddball calibers that WR listed on their site previously were made by the Wolfgang Romey firm. They probably dropped it since no one seems to have evinced any interest in making rifles for it.
