.375 Ruger on Mauser action
Has anyone actually built a .375 Ruger on a Mauser action? If so, what exactly did you (or your Gunmaker)do to it to make it function properly?

Mine is built on an FN action originally built in 270. Besides the bolt face needing opening, the rails also need to be opened up for the fatter cartridge.

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

while it wasn't totally necessary, I fund that shortening the case about 1/16th inch allowed me to crimp into the cannelures I had at the time....no big deal at all.

Just a point of information and shameless promotion! We at Sound Metal products have started a run of our pot belly for the 375/ 416 Ruger. Can't remember the mock up exactly, but do recall it holds at least four down

I personally think these cartidges are really going to take off, you just have to get uesd to the lettering on a fine custom rifle when it says "375 Ruger" "416 Ruger"
