I have a question for some of you that reload big bores, exactly a .458WM.
I read the OAL is max @ 3.340, I'm seating to 3.15 to get them to cycle in my Mauser 98 action. Does that seem too deep to you?
I loading 405 Rem JSP (round nose) because I have a couple hundred of them to shoot away left over from my 45-70 days.

PM jeffe, his son has a 458 Winnie, on a Mex. Mauser. The 405 Remmy is all that is shot from it. I think he loads them to about the same lenght as you are.
