Re: Compairing the 500 A square and the 550 Magnum
RNS,
those OAL's make me VERY happy!!!

The 700 grain is short enough to fit into a 98, with no whittling on the ends, the sides are a different story...

the 600 grain would even fit a mexican mauser... and I thought my 458 win mag was the most powerful mexican mauser!!

the 600 probably would look like a 535 woodleigh, with the crimping groove back a little higher than a .550 seating depth.

Looks like an awesome beast!!

The 800gr is 1.430"-.550"(seating depth)=.880"+2.5"=3.38"

The 700gr is 1.265"-.550"(seating depth)=.710"+2.5"=3.21"

It would appear that 100gr is roughly = .165"

So a 600gr would be 1.1"-.550"=.550"+2.5=3.05"

Let me know what you think about the OAl
