RobgunbuilderAh- Heym crafsmanship- The finest in the world! Only Bubba himself could design better stocks. Perhaps you could retrofit a A Square Hannibal? Truly a work of art!
In all sincerity, I'd trash that stock and find a Mcmillan you could grind to fit.Alternatively see if Jeffe's stock duplicator still works and pay him. -Rob

Dr. LouI thought if you broke your Heym it meant that you were no longer a virgin.

DoublessBeing a college student, I know money is tight, but I wanted to offer a source for a replacement blank in the unlikely event Heym doesn't have anything that will work.
Talk to Adam at Luxus. They post blanks in the classified thread for virtually give-away prices for the quality of blanks they carry, and Adam is an absolute prince of a guy to deal with. Talk to him, tell him what your predicament is and see what he can do for you.
There are plenty of fine stockmakers that post on here as well. I suspect if Jeffe's duplicator is still in working order he would work with you to get things started.
That Heym is a fine rifle, and a nice piece of walnut will enhance not only its appearance but its value as well.

I don't want to loose sight of this heretofore unrevealed area expertise. Obviously, such insight and powers of observation can only come from one whose hands on experience in the area is so great that it can only be viewed as rising to the level of an "expert" opinion. Still, in all fairness to the readers of this board, it is not at all out of line to voir dire the witness as to his lengthy experience with drunken beavers.
So RIP, do tell.....
Jim,
Drunken beaver bedding can sometimes result in unintended consequences.
That's all I have to say about that.
