<Mcbain>.458 Lott in Ruger #1 appears to be a factory item
This is the first I have heard about Ruger chambering a #1H in .458 Lott. Granted it is the SS w/ laminated stock, but it is a step in the right direction.

GeorgeSThe trick will be to locate one; they "offered" the #1-H in .404 Jeffery a few years ago, but hardly any were to be found.
George
P.S. The .458 Lott in a 9lb. #1 ought to be pretty obnoxious recoil-wise.

Brian MGeorge is right, don't put much faith in a "new" Ruger offering until you have it in your hands.
If they make it in blue/wood,I'd definetly think about getting one.Sure with they'd make either the 458 Winny or Lott in a 26 inch model so I could have it rechambered to 460 Weatherby.A 24 inch 460 is about as worthless as a 22 inch 264 Winchester.

ready_on_the_rightGeorgeS there is a .404 on GunsAmerica.com, but the owner knows how rare it is and it is priced accordingly!!

Ken ClineI saw a Ruger #1 404 Jeffery at a gun show here in Michigan at the time they cataloged it. The price was the same as all the other calibers- $459. I guess that's another one I can kick myself for not grabbing when I had the chance.
