Does anyone know if the barrel/receiver threads on the Montana M1999 long action (not PH) are the same as the Winchester Model 70? I have a .416 Rem. Mag barrel that I would like to take off of a M1999 and put on a long action stainless M70 action. Would it be simple to do so with minimal gunsmithing effort involved?
