WhitworthRe: Your favorite big bore revolver, no .357 magnums
Lee -- tell us more about the .450. That's got to hurt!

LAWCOPI USED TO carry a .41mag for a duty gun for a few years.
I preferred it over the .44(or should we say .429) because it seemed to be more accurate and it definitely gave better penetration for all things being equal.
I gave it up when I got permission to carry the 1911 as a duty gun.
Had a Model 58 4", a 57 4", 57 6", a Redhawk 5 1/2 and a redhawk 7 1/2(all at the same time) so could probably say I was "into them".
I had a load using Sierra Silouette bullets for pigs, 220heavy jacket moving out at 1400FPS from the 5 1/2" redhawk. SERIOUS pig and bear medicine.
Got rid of them all and went to .45LC just because I wanted bigger heavier bullets. Now when I go walking, either the Blackhawk or the 25-5 with 285grHC loads goes with me.
