load data 416 ruger and barnes bullets?
Anyone have any load data for the barnes bullets? I'm looking for any data on the 300, 350, 400 tsx bullets. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 416 Ruger is quite close to the 416 Remington in case capacity. I would imagine that anything up to within 3 grains of the Remington loads would be good to go and probably would produce similar velocities because of similar pressures. But of course, start below and test as you go.

for 416 Rem.
Barnes 4th lists 90 grains of AA2520 for 2748fps, 98% fill, with the 350 Banded solid.
In the Ruger that might work out to 87 grains and within 20 fps of the 416 Rem.

Barnes 3rd has
91 grains of R-15 with 300 grain X, 2931fps.
Again, this might be equaled with 88 grains R-15 in the Ruger. Maybe one or two grains more.

84 grains R-15 with 350 grainers for 2678fps.
So in Ruger, maybe 81-82 grains.

The above were the max loads from the respective books.

The new TTSX 350 grain is especially nice if it fits in the magazine. If it needs to sit too deeply, then you might be better off with the TSX for some situations. But the BC in the TTSX is .444, which makes it a great all purpose bullet.
