Re: Zimbabwe Professional Hunter Proficiency Exam
Hey Will,
Had my tang safety Ruger apart last month. The safety button is attached to the trigger/action guts by a heavy duty paper clip. I haven't worked up the nerve to pull one of my shotguns apart yet to see if they have a more direct connection. Shit, I guess the old "nothing's easy, nothing's free, everything's a compromise" axiom is still being enforced by the grand architect.

Everyone is of course entitled to any position he wishes to take. I just am not able to duplicate the conditions you describe. I have tried every manuevoer I can imagine and cannot put my CZ on safe while working the bolt. I can see how it would be remotely possible with my Brno 602's with the reversed safety. I admit I don't have 1/1000th the experience on dangerous game but rarely when I am in imminent danger do I have the safety on and if I don't know I am in danger til the millisecond it takes to release the safety then I am probably too late anyway. Just my opinion. Incidentally I have never seen a parks dept person with a sporting arm of any kind.
