are you using Horneber brass for your .416/.505 ??

It certainly is an impressive looking round, 3000 fpf should not be an issue with a 400 gr pill ??

The brass in the pic is Bertram [Mad]

I'm getting some Horneber through/with 500 Nitro via Jeffeosso who has a thread going re a group order.
FYI The 450 and 505 are Bertram the 338 is Lapua

I think you will get the velocity's your after with the Horneber brass. Your right Bertram is bloody soft.
