Ruger No. 1 Stainless Tropical in .458 Lott
Has anyone seen one of these rifles yet? Or has anyone fired one? I'm thinking of getting myself a big bore, and the price on these is relatively low. I'm thinking of mating it with a Leupold Vari X III 1.5-5x20 illuminated scope, with the German No. 4 reticle. Any thoughts?

Urodoji,

Welcome to the forum. Better ask Saeed he has Ruger No.1 in 460 WM.

Have a look the video clips provided on the page.

Do you think the Leupold scope will handle the recoil?

On the reccomendation of those much more experienced than myself I chose a 2.5x leupold compact for my .585 as did my mate, both scopes holding up well. We also use 2-7x leupolds on our .416 Rigby's with no drama's as well. So in short for this choose a compact 2.5 x leupold and I doubt you will ever have any problems.
