Mounting a Schmidt & Bender on a Model 70
We "inherited" a 1.25 X 4 X 24mm (30MM tube) Schmidt & Bender Illuminated scope and want to mount it on a Model 70 post 64 .375 H&H. The ocular end is 3.70" long. It's also 1.69 diameter the full length of the Ocular end. How does one mount it far enough forward to avoid Weatherby Eye?

I have the same scope and used Leupold QD bases and low 30mm rings which withstood the toughest testing in Zim and gives the lowest possible mount.
