TJAYGot a deal on............375 Ultra
Now I'd like some help on loading info. Tried down in reloading but go no response. Hoping for better up here. Looking mostly for light loads to practice with, the books all have full power loads. My 225 hornadys and dies come today so feel free to give me your insites and advice. I'm new to anything bigger than a 338 Win..

bulbwerksI can get you my load data for 250gr Sierra SP and 300gr Nosler Partitions if you want. The 250 Sierras maxed out feel about like a 300 Weatherby with 180 gr bullets maxed out. Don't woory about the recoil, put a decelerator or limbsaver recoil pad on the gun and you'll be fine. I have one set up in a Boyds JRS stock and my father has a stock LSS. He took his to Botswana 2 years ago and had 9 one shot kills shooting the 300 Partition that all dropped in their tracks. If I can be of any help to you regarding this caliber let me know.

GeorgeS. Thanks I have been reading about the big boys for a while and I know I will enjoy shooting the big stuff.. Already thinking of turning a 338 ruger into the new 416.

bulbwerksI have had both a limbsaver and a decelerator on my 375 RUM and while the limbsaver ws a little softer, the decelerator has lasted longer. I will post my loading info for you tonight when I get home from work. What type of 375 RUM did you buy? If it is a synthetic stocked one, do yourself a favor and fill the hollow spaces in the stock with aerosol insulation foam it greatly reduces the vibration and cheak slap from the Remington syntehetic stocks. Before the Boyds JRS I had a cheap Remington synthetic on mine and this treatment made it shootable until I could afford the stock i have on it now.

Yes it's a rem 700 with the synthetic stock. I got it second hand. It has a muzzle brake on it but I am looking to get a cap to protect the threads. Thanks for the tip on filling the stock, I should do it to the 300 RUM also.

BusMaster007I finally shot mine a couple of months ago.
My Beretta 1201 with 3" magnum slugs kicks HARDER.
Good to know!
I wish the cartridge wasn't an instant dinosaur, though.
It's a cool shooting kicker.
Congratulations.

gixxerSorry I do not chec out the reloading section that often. I have a RUM, and have data for 250gr Northforks and 260gr Accubonds. My rifle loves H4350, and both brands of bullets too.
This one is for the Noslers
https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4911043/m/964102593And this one is for the 250 NF
https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4911043/m/536100622The starting loads I used were really mild compared to what I am shooting now. Either way what I am shooting now does not hurt since I got that f990 pad. If you do not mind adding weight, you could put some lead in those holes before you use the great stuff. I added 10oz of weight to my rifle between the fore end and the butt.

bulbwerksWell I checked my loading logs for you.
Sierra 250gr SP:
Federal 215M Primer
99 grains of H 4831 SC
Nosler 300gr Partition:
Federal 215M primer
My gun likes 104.5gr of H1000
My Dad's likes 103gr of H1000
I used Remington 375RUM brass for all loads. I found that this cartridge likes near max loads and 100% case capacity charges or slightly compressed charges for accuracy.
If there is any other information I can help you with, let me know.

Blair338/378I'm thinking of having one made myself after the way my 338RUM shot.
Nosler state in their #6 Manual, under technical notes, that the 375RUM is the most accurate of the 375's and they now use it as their test round.

Verbera!, Iugula!, Iugula!!!
