Hornady 45 Basic brass OAL ??
What is the OAL of new Hornady 45 Basic Mag Brass?
Is it suitable for the .450 Ackley?

Thanks

The H&H belted Hornady basic brass I just measured averages 2.867".

It would be great for .450 Ackley. The headstamp on the brass is only an "H", with lots of room for you to engrave or stamp your own "450" and turn that "H" into an "A" ... clap

PS:
I used this fine Hornady brass to make .375 Weatherby brass. It stood up to 60,000 psi "ballpark" just fine.

After fireforming and trimming to same length as the factory, Norma made, .375 Weatherby brass, it holds about 3 grains less water, because it is thicker/heavier brass than the Norma case.

No worries at all with using the Hornady basic for .450 Ackley.
