Dave BushTerry:
I have the same rifle. My pet load is a Norma case, Federal 215 magnum primer, 75 grains of Reloder 15 and a 400 grain Woodleigh. This load has been super, super accurate in my rifle. I got the load from the data on these AR reloading pages. It runs about 2262 fps.

GarByTerry, my Heym bolt shoots very good with RL15, but just a touch better with H4350. I'm using Swift A-frames and Woodleigh solids. The NF softs also shoot real nice, but the FP's feed about 85%...not good enough for a DG rifle. I love the gun so much I just don't want to change ANYTHING on it.
PM me Monday...I'll give you my loads and their chrono'd speeds....it's at the office.

AtkinsonMy standard load for the last 20 years has been 95 Grs. of IMR-4831 if you want top velocity. I get 2600 plus FPS in a 27" barrel, 10 shot average taking out the top and low round..
Recoil is pretty rough, so I normally hunt with 93 grs. and any 400 gr. bullet, at 2450 plus a little.
Both loads are very accurate in every .404 that I have used them in and brass life is long. This load was tested by North Fork and only got 2500 plus in his barrel, pressure was in the safety zone, contrary to some comments on AR...
