I have read that BRNO made the ZG47 in 10.75x68. I am looking for one as a hunting rifle (not as a never to be shot collectable) so it does not have to be in mint condition but I do not want one with serious "issues". If anyone has a lead on one I would appreciate hearing from you.

This may be a lost cause but you never know. I already have several Mauser model B's in 10.75x68 and even have a guild rifle in 10.75x57. I think of all the post war bolt rifles the BRNO ZG47 series and the small ring model 21/22's are my favorite guns so having one in 10.75 only seems natural.

I didn't mean to be sarcastic. I've owned 24 ZG47s but the 10.75 will be a tough one. But you never know. I told a friend who is not a gun collector he would have a hard time coming up with a ZG in 9.3x62 and he promptly bought two! The 10.75 is a nice round, I recently sold 2 Type Bs.

Unless you are dead set on a factory original, the most expedient route is to rebarrel another ZG, otherwise you will be searching for one of the Holy Grails. I have a Parker Hale Hussar ZG set aside for a similar project, but it will probably be a 404 if it ever gets done.

Me too!! I have a minty .30-06, had another which Ralf Martini built into a 9.3x64 for my buddy (and I keep trying to get him to sell me) and another friend recently scored an original 9.3x62 in nice shape.

He knows how I love old Brnos and he kindly told me that it is MINE, oh happy day. It was badly glassbedded by a local gunsmith and now will be put into a Micky with both my last hoarded Wisner safety and a Sako trigger.

I USE these rifles and prefer them to anything else I have; I have seen several choice, rare versions for sale in recent months, but, I have enough guns now.

Last heavy caliber I have seen was Modell 22F in hard hitin' kal. .358 Big Swede. That was several years ago. If you're REAL patient.....

I know your "pain". I'm looking for very special West German rifle made in mid to late 80s in caliber 10,75x73mm, but so far it has been futile endeavor. There is also certain Austrian Co. that made gems on FN actions coupling finest barrels from Gebr. Boehler stahl to them. I'm actively looking for one in kal. .375EM and or 9,3x62. These are De Luxe weapons. Wee, wee.

That sounds like what i'm thinking about doing. I got my paws on a 21H with a lousy barrel, and the stock filed down til there is no checkering left
But it was cheap, and i'm now trying to deside wheter to put a 10,75x68 barrel on it, or just go for the 9.3x62.
