I just got the July issue of Guns and Ammo (July 08) and on page 16 they talk about Hornady introducing the 416 Ruger which they say is a necked up version of the 375 Ruger. Does anyone have any info on this new cartridge?Do you think it will be close to the 416 Remington? I wonder if they'll redesign the stocks.....PaLuke

with the lighter projectiles It would be fine infact probably better, but if you start loading long heavy projectiles into the shorter 2.5 inch case, I can't see it out performing the REM MAG

The 416 Rem Mag is an improved case, it's not the same comparison as the H&H

To be fair.....Comparing the 416 Ruger to the 416 Rem Mag, is like comparing the 375 Ruger to the 375H&H ackley or 375JRS
